Since 2009, European farmhouse cheesemakers and their representatives have met once a year to exchange ideas, discuss important topics and exchange experiences.
This event of FACE (Farmhouse and Artisan Cheese & Dairy Producers European Network) has grown into a three-day congress, incorporating farm visits, a conference and discussions within workgroups.
Each year the event is organised by a different member country. This year, the sixth meeting will be held in Gouda, the Netherlands, from the 6th to 8th November 2014.
The annual meeting is a unique and exciting experience for reasons of the personal discussions with colleagues and the wealth of information concerning milk, cheese and other dairy products from different regions of Europe Together we define our goals and develop new projects. We want to join forces and achieve understanding and insight in the differences in national legislation and commit ourselves to an equally balanced work field.
Typical regional cheeses and dairy products will be presented in lectures, presentations and workgroups. Practical examples and the presentation of the results from various projects will allow each participant to widen his or her horizon. Culinary highlight this year is the lunch dairy buffet at the International Congress on Friday, November 7, with cheeses & dairy specialities from different regions of Europe.
The board of the BBZ in the Netherlands has prepared an interesting program for those who are interested and invite you to be their guest during the 3 days of the congress.
